The special "Redlight"  IR emitters are specially designed for this beautiful family sized candlenut walnut sauna and can be used either with or without the stove. Please read through the info below to learn about the many health advantages this system offers.

Our contemporary design combines both high style and cutting edge technology to make the health benefits of the modern sauna easily available to everyone. This is a Combination Sauna. That means it combines all the health and convenience advantages of a modern high tech Infra Red (IR) sauna with the traditional hot stove FINN sauna.

IR sauna therapy

The natural sunlight  that we all love covers a wide range of frequencies, some that we can see and others such as heat, that we feel. The frequencies that produce heat are from the “far” infra red part of the spectrum and our saunas are designed to reproduce those same frequencies and impart the benefits of deep healing heat to our bodies. Unlike traditional FINN type saunas that produce very hot dry air, our high technology “IR” saunas offer a pleasant experience similar to relaxing on a sunny day and feeling the sun’s rays gently warming our body. These sauna effects help rejuvenate us with benefits that include increasing our metabolism and circulation which in turn can help reduce weight through dissolving fatty deposits, whilst improving skin tone and general wellbeing.

FINN sauna therapy

The health benefits of traditional sauna bathing have been known about and enjoyed for literally thousands of years and originated in the Nordic countries (hence the term FINN to describe this "Finnish" type of sauna). Our Beachside unit comes complete with a 6.5kw sauna stove and coals, plus of course the all important wooden pail and ladle. We even include a sand timer and temperature gauge.   

We’ve even added built-in light therapy as standard to complete the total rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit, for an excellent complimentary experience to our Spas and Steam cabins.

Two large benches provide full length stretch out space for 2 or comfortable seating for up to 6. And we include the essential duckboard flooring that many others omit.

I.R. cabin

V traditional sauna?

The infrared cabin is an effective but gentler way of having a sauna then the traditional "FINN" sauna.  Because the temperature is only 35-60 Celsius, the sauna can be used by individuals who do not like high temperatures.

The heart of the infrared cabin is the infrared heater, which emits specific rays, not visible to the human eye. The long wave-length infrared radiation penetrates 3.5 - 4 cm deep into the muscle tissue - as a result, 3 - 4 times the amount of sweating occurs. In the infrared sauna we sweat not only through our sweat glands, but through our sebaceous glands too.  The advantage of this is that whereas in traditional saunas our sweat is made up of 97% water, in the infrared sauna it is just 80% water and 20% fat.  Many toxins do not dissolve in water, only in fats (such as cholesterol).  So during an infrared sauna we are not just loosing weight, but also ridding ourselves of toxins and harmful chemical substances accumulated in the body.

Duel Digital control

Every REDLIGHT^TM sauna is equipped with duel zone controls for the IR emitters. Put simply this allows you save money. Because IR heats you, not the air around you, it is not necessary to energise all the IR emitters if just one person is using the sauna, hence we split the sauna  into 2 zones so you can half the energy use by using just 1 zone.

The two control panels are simple to use, with touch buttons, digital display. Simply select your desired temperature on the display and set your IR sauna bathing time, and the panel will beep when you approach the end of your session*.

There’s even a button to select your desired mood via the colour therapy lighting program!, grab a book, and you’re good to go on your most relaxing workout ever!

Environmentally friendly heating concept:

The REDLIGHT^TM heaters utilise semi-conductor technology to create powerful far infrared heat in A B & C spectrums in the range 780-10,000 nm range from minimum energy consumption. No noise, gasses or any harmful particles are generated by the emitters making this a ecologically sound technology.

85% of the energy used by the REDLIGHT^TM emitters is given off as infra red radiation.

IR-A radiation creates efficient heat distribution within the body tissue and penetrates 4-5mm under the skin to the subcutaneous layer. The sweat and sebaceous glands secrete perspiration as they try to cool the tissues, and this process carries toxins from the deeper tissues out of the body.

Perspiration occurs as a result of  the metabolic processes accelerating, increasing blood circulation, providing fresh oxygen and nutritive materials for the organs and removing waste-material from the body, While in the sauna you can relax completely, a natural remedy for insomnia and stress.

The higher temperatures and humidity of the traditional FINN sauna, create a tropical climate that forces our body temperature up and induces us to perspire in order to cool our surface area (skin) and avoid overheating.

Up to 600 calories can be burnt during a half hour’s sauna, compare this with 30 minutes of jogging burning 300 calories, or  30 minutes of cycling to  burn 225 calories.The healing of chronic sports, or other injuries, or muscular pain may also be dramatically accelerated with regular use of SAUNA therapy.

We use our REDLIGHT^TM heaters in our combination sauna for several reasons

Stimulates blood circulation & strengthen cardiovascular health

The heart rate speeds up, increasing blood circulation, this in turn carries the heat throughout the body causing intense perspiration in the same way as physical exertion or sports activity would. This “physical activity effect” however occurs whilst simply relaxing in the sauna.

Expels toxins and pollutants

During perspiration  toxins and accumulated wastes are expelled from the body such as

Simple to operate

FINN sauna system

The sauna stove must be wired directly to your electrical consumer unit. This work is straightforward but it must be done by a competent and registered electrician. The electrician can also configure the stove heating elements for either 230v single phase or 380v three phase depending on your supply type.

Climate control

There is a thermostatic temperature and on/off control located on the stove itself, once the stove has reached its set temperature, splashing small quantities of water on the stones produces steam which raises the humidity and temperature to induce sweating. Temperature and ventilation can be controlled by low and high level adjustable wall and ceiling vents along with the built-in extractor fan.

IR sauna system

There are two plugs that plug into any convenient double 13amp socket (one plug for each of the two zones).

The touch pad provides easy control of all sauna functions to allow you to quickly set the temperature, timer, lighting etc just how you like it.

On a technical note the computerized controller is completely safe as it has no moving buttons or parts, simply touch the buttons with your finger tip and the system automatically responds., making this amongst the most reliable and safest systems available.

Great to look at now - and for years to come

You've spent a lot of time and money carefully furnishing your home - why spoil it with a cheep looking sauna cabinet? Did you know that many "internet" saunas are made so cheep that the cabinets are actually vinyl covered MDF board, not only does this affect how they work (the cabinet needs to breath) but of course they look rubbish as well. And what about the inside? The whole point of a sauna is to perspire and whilst its a good idea to use a towel to protect the surfaces, our top quality natural linings provide the best possible stain resistant, breathable and wonderfully scented environment for you to enjoy.

We've worked hard to get away from that boxy packing crate look of others with our extensive use of large lightly smoked 6mm toughened  safety glass panels that provides a contemporary, airy, designer look to enhance any modern room setting and give a feeling of spaciousness when using the sauna. Delivery

• We aim to deliver your new sauna within 15 working days from receiving your payment for the successful purchase.

• It will arrive in three large heavy (typically 50kg) packages.

• There must be someone available to sign for the delivery.

• There must be at least one strong fit able bodied person available to assist the driver with the off-loading.

• The driver (and assistant) will unload and wheel each package across firm level ground to your doorstep or garage (or other suitable outbuilding) but the driver will not take the packages into your house or up any steps

• Health and Safety is important and the driver may refuse to assist with transporting the packages across or into any environment he/she considers unreasonably hazardous (such as building sites, standing water, unsafe ground, etc).

• Any damage must be noted clearly on the delivery sheet at the time of delivery.

• If the driver considers delivery cannot be completed for any of the above reasons, the goods will be returned to our depot and an additional charge will be made for any subsequent delivery attempt.

Install and commissioning: Our saunas come with full assembly instructions and are really easy and straightforward for two people to put together in an hour or so with just a screwdriver. We can provide assembly and commissioning for you at additional cost - please call for details.

Before Delivery

 Please check that you have suitable dry storage available to take these large heavy packages.

Please ensure there is someone at the address who is authorised to sign for the delivery and assist with it.

You need a competent registered electrician to provide the electrical feed from your consumer unit and configure the stove.
